Christmas 2008

Among the places that I have visited to view the Christmas decorations were Mid-Valley, 1-Utama, Curve and Pavillion.

Took a family photo with Santa Claus at Mid-Valley, just like the previous years. Only this year was less clear, maybe due to the brightness of the stage. Noted all races queued up for the photo shooting. That was very nice. A sign that all can enjoyed each other festive seasons without worry being labelled as strayed.

Missed the Santa Claus shooting at Pavillion as visit coincided with Santa's breaktime.

KLCC Twin Towers

I went to KLCC for Kung Fu Panda with family on June 6, 2008.

The bottom of my shoe fell off as I climbed up the steps at LRT station Kelana Jaya. No choice, have to continue and walked with care. Bought a large popcorn and some drinks into the cinema. The movie itself s enjoyable but not the few occasions when lights were switched on for minutes during show time.

The rain had stopped when the movie ended. Hang around the fountain are and took some images.
One is the view of twin towers after rain.

The windows image was taken from a building beside the twin towers. The windows look like edging in and sometimes look like edging out.

If there any souvenir that I would like to have from KLCC, it is the manhole cover! This design was purposely made for KLCC and its can be easily displayed on the floor

STC Riding School

The above images are taken at STC Riding School at Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia. A horse in mask, the shades in the range, the shoeprints on the sandy tracks and the wooden Trojan.

Our Agong often dropped in for a few hours riding.
The wooden Trojan is only opened on occasions and only 15 children are allowed to go in at any one time.

The shoeprints are more visible after the rain.

All ponies and horses consumed imported grasses that cost about RM15/meal. They will be put to sleep when they are not fit to earn income by giving rides to children.

Horses were given mask to protect themselves against flies. Like sunglasses, huh? Due irritation caused by flies, some horses may resort to rubbing their eyes against the poles/walls which would eventually cut themselves.

Generally, the place is quite well maintained.

Dataran Merdeka

The above images are of a dragon team which were taken during a recent visit to Dataran Merdeka on the night of May18,2008. Noted there was a rehearsal ongoing for the next day MSC-related event. As the front stage was closed to public then, the crowd lingered at the right side to watch. I chosed to go further in (left side) to see the participants lining to get onto the stage.

Vesak Day 2008

I have visited the Buddhist temple in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur few days prior to Vesak 2008. Vesak is an annual holiday observed by practicing Buddhists. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesak).

I think most outdoor preparations were completed then. Made some prayers and did lingered for awhile. The images above are oil lamps for offerings

Taman Tun Park

This was taken from one of my favorite spot in the park at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. It is shady in the morning and the occasional breeze is so enjoyable. There were occasions where I have the chance to smell the freshly trimmed grass in wet mornings.

Usually it is packed with visitors of all ages at weekends and public holidays. Visitors helped themselves to their favorite hobbies such as running along the sloping tracks, dancing to aerobic tunes, relax strolling, fan dancing, skating etc..

There is one cable bridge for all to enjoy the swinging sensation with the sound of water gushing under it. They are various tree species in the park for one to enjoy their characteristics. Example, there are lots of rubber trees beyond the fence at one side. Most of these adult trees are tapped for their latex.

Whenever I prefer less noise and crowd, then weekday visit is just right for me. Ample parking and spots for me to enjoy my visit.

Love In Harmony

This was taken during my recent visit to Taman Titiwangsa, KL. Couples from different races were seen here enjoying the scenery. I love Malaysia!

Selangor Spastic Centre, Petaling Jaya

This was taken at the centre’s man-made, shallow cement pool. I like to capture that blooming flower that looks so towering, pure, fragile and lonely. Three types of water plants are sighted here. These plants can be considered as common in Malaysia. For those who know where to look, these plants can be seen in abundance. Underneath the plants are guppies, ‘bandar raya’s and look-like goldfishes. These plants can be considered as flexible and tough plants.

I pray the same to those who seek treatment/therapy at the centre.
I pray for a more caring society who can accept for what they are lack of and will do the necessary for them as our loved ones.

Do good, think good and dont do bad..

This is what I have summarised after viewing the VCD that I have collected during the funeral for the Brickfields' Chief Monk couple a years ago. I am still learning and trying to do just that. Todate, I still believe it helps me to be a better person. My words are less mean and my thoughts care for others more.
